Loran Olivia launched in 2016 after the owner, Megan Gallant was looking for a creative outlet outside of her corporate 9-5. Their first products were custom designed gifts such as inspirational coffee mugs, wine glasses among other items. Three years later and they have become experts in design and are now specializing in Premium Wedding Invitations and Day of Stationery. They are becoming New Brunswick's go-to destination for high-quality Luxury Wedding Stationery.
Loran Olivia is unique, feminine and sophisticated. Megan describes it as “our way of living summed up in a pretty name”
Unlike mass-produced wedding invitation suppliers, Loran Olivia offers a variety of thoughtfully selected embellishments for our stationery. Some of their favourites are hand-stamped wax seals, vellum overlay (translucent paper), and thread wrapping.
Additionally, they source only the highest products for their invitations and stationery. They have carefully selected their envelope and paper colors to help simplify the decision process for their clients. They print on premium thick card stock for a luxurious feeling when your guests open their invitations. Loran Olivia is expanding their offerings this year to be offering letterpress and foil stamped products! All of their designs are created by Megan and assembly is completed in their pretty blush studio.
By popular demand they are also expanding their product line this summer and will be offering Luxury Thoughtfully Curated Gift Boxes. Their clients who have followed them from the beginning have expressed that they miss Loran Olivia’s product line of gifts. They are in the process of collaborating with several amazing businesses on custom products to add into the gift boxes. They set out to create a gift option that not only contains amazing products, but comes in a beautifully packaged box to make gift giving easier. They know that lives are busier than ever and are simplifying gift giving into an experience that can be trusted and exciting, not just another thing to cross off of your to-do list.
ADVICE FROM MEGAN:
Lately, we have been receiving lots of DM's and emails from individuals who are interested in starting their own design service company. I feel like my best piece of advice would be take time and really think about what your goals are, areas of design that interest you and what your big picture is. Another question I get asked a lot is how I got started with design. I have a Bachelors Degree in Criminology and have completed some Graduate courses in Business. I've always had an interest in design and creating; my husband and I have taken on a few house flips and I absolutely love the process of designing the home. That's really how everything got started for me. I don't have a fancy education in design, I've taught myself how to use Illustrator and all the techniques I use for my invitations and other products I've made. We have access to so many amazing learning resources online now that there is likely a Youtube video on just about anything. Get curious and take the initiative to teach yourself. Don't doubt your capabilities just because you may not have a formal education in something. Just go for it and if you have enough grit, you'll figure out a way to do anything!!
